Hey Lou Ann,
As I see there are more calls for information currently, I will check in with our office and see if this comment has been collected.

I am not sure about continued education opportunities, but I will check into training and entrepreneur training for our members.

Opportunities / VIU Training Programs

NREP is looking for a few, good people!

The Natural Resources Extension Program (NREP) is currently seeking individuals who are passionate about teaching and delivering community-based environmental training courses and programs.

Specifically, we are recruiting for Lead and Assistant Instructors for our industry-leading Environmental Technician Certificate Program (ETCP).

The Environmental Technician Certificate Program (ETCP) is NREP's flagship aboriginal community-based training program. To-date, the 200-hour, five-week ETCP has been delivered in 34 aboriginal communities throughout western Canada.

Since 1989, NREP has delivered community-based (short and longer-term) training programs to more than 5200 aboriginal learners from 387 communities in 9 provinces/territories throughout Canada.

As an NREP trainer, you will be required to travel to and reside in communities throughout Canada, delivering training programs that range from two days to five weeks in duration.

These positions will ideally suit an individual looking to augment their existing workload with short-term training or curriculum development contracts.

Ideally, candidates have the following experience and skills:

1.       As an instructor or course developer.

2.       Working within a cost-recovery environment.

3.       A minimum of 5 years working within the fisheries, environment, forestry or other natural resource-related field.

Interested? Please mail or email your application via mail or email to us:
